Military exercises are expected to cause minor delays to flights at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) until Friday, August 29.

A statement released by Auric Air stays that airspace will be closed from approximately 08:00 to 09:00 and again from 11:00 to 12:00 from Wednesday, August 26 to Friday, August 28.

These timings are approximate and may change, says the statement.

Both the domestic and international terminals are to be affected by the delays.

All attempts by Dar Post to obtain further comment and clarification from the Tanzania Airports Authority and the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority were unsuccessful.
