An American entrepreneur and author was killed in a freak accident on Mount Kilimanjaro over the weekend.

Scott Dinsmore, 33, was struck and killed by a falling boulder before he reached the summit on Saturday, September 12.

Dinsmore, who is famous for his TED talk ‘how to find and do work you love,’ had sold all his possessions and was traveling the world with his wife, Chelsea.

“He left us in one of the most beautiful places either of us have ever been.”
“He always said, ‘I want to live a life of no regrets,’ and he did,” says Chelsea Dinsmore, who visited 20 countries with her husband this year.

“He left us in one of the most beautiful places either of us have ever been,” says Dinsmore, speaking to the San Jose Mercury News.

An estimated 35,000 people attempt to climb the tallest mountain in Africa and it’s believed a handful die each year, most from altitude related causes or falls.
