Fuel prices across the country have decreased and stabilized, thanks to a stable shilling and falling oil prices.
“To a large extent the fall in the local market prices have been caused by decrease in prices of petroleum products in the world market as well as the stability of our shilling against the US dollar,” says Felix Ngamlagosi, director general of the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority.
Cap petrol prices in Dar es Salaam dropped by 5.97 percent bringing prices down to 2,153 TSH per litre for the month of September.
Diesel prices have sunk 9.58 percent to 1,832 TSH per litre.
