Homesick or looking for a good bargain, thousands of people flocked to the annual Diplomatic Spouses Group (DSG) charity bazaar on Saturday, November 21.
Comfort foods and goods from 20 countries (think: French wine, Dutch stroopwafels and Turkish pastries) teased attendees.
Heaps of bargains were also available for thrifty customers at the white elephant rummage sale.
The DSG is a non-profit organization which distributes funds raised to a variety of charity projects within Tanzania.
Their emphasis is on supporting Tanzania’s most vulnerable citizens — women, children and those with disabilities.
In 2014, the bazaar raised 79 million TSH ($36,500 USD) for 10 charity projects across Tanzania.
