Power outage planned for high voltage line move

A planned power outage in Ilala and Temeke is set for Saturday, January 23.

Utility provider Tanesco says the transfer of high voltage power lines at Tazara junction to make room for the planned flyover will cause an outage between 09:00 to 18:00.

Tanesco says they will also take the opportunity to do repairs at the Buguruni substation.

Affected areas include but are not limited to: Mandela Road, Tabata dump, parts of Buguruni, Vingunguti, Tazara, Dar es Salaam International Airport, Mbagala, Kurasini, Mtoni Mtongani, Kigamboni, Mkuranga, Kongowe, Tuangoma, Yombo, Tandika, Kikoroshini and Chang’ombe.
