A deep low pressure zone off of Mozambique is causing strong winds and large waves along coastal parts of Tanzania.
Winds over 40 kilometers per hour and waves over two meters are expected on February 1 and 2, says the Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA.)
The TMA says the warning extends to the coastal areas of Tanga, Pwani (including Mafia), Dar es salaam, Lindi, Mtwara as well as Unguja (Zanzibar) and Pemba islands.
