Fuel prices for the month of May have risen 3.27 percent and 5.64 percent respectively for diesel and petrol.

The monthly fuel price set by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) is now 1,602 TSH per litre for diesel and 1,785 TSH per litre for petrol.

The price hike is due to an increase in petroleum product prices in the world market, says EWURA Director General Felix Ngamlagosi.

Ngamlagosi says anyone can check cap prices any time by dialing *152*00# on their mobile phone.
