A partial solar eclipse will darken the skies over Dar on September 1.

The eclipse activity starts at 10:13 and ends at 13:56, with the peak of the partial eclipse lasting just three minutes at 12:04.

A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, casting a shadow.

Looking directly at the sun is extremely dangerous, even during an eclipse.

The simplest way to view the eclipse is using a simple pinhole projector to project the image of the sun onto a flat surface.

Learn how to make a pinhole projector here.
