Gallery: Africana road bridge washout

Africana Road between Whitesands roundabout and Africana junction (Bagamoyo Road) in Mbezi Beach is closed after heavy rains washed out the bridge.

Wednesday morning’s (September 28) rains washed out the temporary bridge and appear to have caused damage to a new bridge under construction.

For the brave, foot traffic is still able to pass on the temporary bridge.

It’s reported that traffic is congested in surrounding areas, as motorists attempt to find alternate routes.
