Heavy rains are expected in Dar until Friday, November 3, says the Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA.)
The warning, issued on Tuesday, October 31, warns of ‘periods of heavy rain exceeding 50mm in 24 hours’ for coastal areas of Tanzania, including Dar es Salaam.
“This is due to presence and and enhancement of the rainmaking belt (the Intertropical Convergence Zone),” says the warning.
A spell of heavy rains last week claimed four lives and caused extensive damage to infrastructure and private property.
