Some streets in Upanga will be closed this week as the Aga Khan comes to Dar.
His Highness the Aga Khan is in Dar this week, which means there will be road closures in Upanga as the Ismaili community welcomes him.
The visit commemorates the Aga Khan’s 60 years as the Shia Ismaili spiritual leader.
The event safety and security team says the following roads will be closed on the following dates:
Wednesday, October 11 from 18:00 – 22:30
-Rapid Pizzeria on Alykhan Road to Aly Hassan Mwinyi Road
Thursday, October 12 from 06:00 – 00:00
-Malik Road from Iseyva Street/Scouts to Nyangoro Street
-Magore Street from Nyangoro Street to Malik Road
Friday, October 13 from 1800 – 00:00
-Malik Road from Isevya Street/Scouts to Magore Street
