It’s time to fire up the generator: planned power outages in Kinondoni will take place today (February 6) between 09:00 to 17:00.
The temporary outages will affect various parts of Kinondoni, from Masaki to Mbezi beach, throughout the day.
Tanesco states that the outage is necessary so crews can “do maintenance, trim trees and replace rotten poles.”
The press release, published today in Swahili newspapers, also warns residents not to touch sagging or fallen electrical lines.
Areas affected by the outage will include:
