Update: Heavy rain advisory for Dar

The Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) has issued a heavy rain advisory for Dar es Salaam.

“Cloudy conditions, thundershowers over some areas and sunny intervals,” will all be experienced on Monday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 12.

Coastal winds from the south are to be up to 30 km/h.

The TMA says periods of heavy rain are also expected for Morogoro, Pwani, Tanga, Lindi and Mtwara regions, along with Unguja and Pemba.

The advisory has been extended and remains in effect until 21:00 on Tuesday, April 12.

For April 13, the TMA expects ‘slight changes’ to the forecast.
