Air Tanzania made its first Dar – Dodoma flight on Monday, January 16.
Among the passengers were Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa and several Members of Parliament.
“We have good planes now. We should use them to travel within the country as they are cheap as well,” says Majaliwa.
The state airline, which has recently added several new planes to its fleet, will fly the route twice a week.
President John Magufuli, who personally restructured Air Tanzania management in September, says he wants to see Air Tanzania be a competing regional airline by 2018.
