Several dozen men, women and children — including tourists — marched along Msasani Road on Saturday afternoon in support of women’s health and safety.
Event attendees were encouraged to donate hygiene and feminine products to women in need.
The march was timed to coincide with global Women’s March in Washington DC, where over a million people gathered to show their discontent for America’s new President and show support for women’s rights.
Over 600 similar events were held globally.
