A wind and wave warning is in effect for Dar es Salaam.
“Strong winds exceeding 40 km/h and large waves exceeding 2 meters” are expected to occur, says the Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA).
“Sea users and residents of the mentioned areas are advised to take necessary precautions.”
The warning, issued by the TMA, is in effect until Wednesday, May 31.
Other coastal areas, including the Isles, are also included in the warning.
